How to configure availability, warehouse and price match

This page is for administrators: the steps described require access to the administration area.

Enable product availability and price match for the channel and, if your installation manages stock levels, select the channel's warehouse. You need access to Channels in the administration area.

Availability

Availability lets you set an availability value for each product on the channel, selected from the Availability reference data list.

  1. In the menu, select Admin, then Channels, and open the channel using the Edit icon.
  2. Select Enable Availability.
  3. Click Save.

On the product page, the channels table displays an Availability column with Auto and the values from the list. You can also filter by availability, change it using bulk edit and import it from Excel using the Availability column. If an import specifies availability for a channel without Enable Availability selected, it is flagged with Channel '…' cannot have Availability.

To manage the list values, see How to manage a reference data list.

Price match

Price match lets you specify a price match source for each product on the channel, selected from the PriceMatchSource reference data list.

  1. Open the channel.
  2. Select Price Match Available.
  3. Under Price Match Sources, select the sources available for the channel.
  4. Click Save.

The product page displays a Price match column with Not set and the sources. You can also filter by price match, change it using bulk edit and import it from Excel using the PriceMatch.Key and PriceMatch.Value columns.

On the product page and when importing from Excel, you can select any source from the list, including those not included in the channel's Price Match Sources.

Warehouse

If your installation manages stock levels, warehouses are configured in the product attribute of type InventoryValue.

  1. Open the channel.
  2. Under Warehouse, select the channel's warehouse.
  3. Click Save.

In the product overview, the Available Qty column shows the quantity available in that warehouse. Once a warehouse is set, you can replace it with another, but you cannot remove it. If your installation does not manage stock levels, the Warehouse list is empty.
