How to translate public labels

This page is for administrators: the steps described require access to the administration area.

Enter public labels for tech specs manually in a language, or use AI to translate them from another language. You need access to the Attributes administration area; AI translation also requires the Enable AI Optimize permission.

Enter labels manually

  1. From the menu, select Admin, then Tech specs, and choose the entity type under Entity.
  2. Open the Public labels tab. The list shows all tech specs for the entity type.
  3. Under Editable language, choose the language you want to fill in.
  4. Enter the labels in that language's column.
  5. Click Save.

The message Public labels saved appears. Only modified rows are saved.

Translate with AI

Translation replaces all labels in the target language, including those already filled in. Check the results before saving: until you click Save, the translations remain on the page only.

  1. In the Public labels tab, click Translate.
  2. Choose the Source language and Target language. The two languages must be different.
  3. Click Translate in the dialogue. Tech specs are translated in batches of 20, with progress shown in the dialogue. When finished, All translations completed appears.
  4. Click Close. To check the translations, choose the target language under Editable language.
  5. Click Save.

For each tech spec, the public label in the source language is translated. If no public label is available, the label is translated instead.

Each batch of 20 translations counts as one standard AI operation towards your AI usage. If a batch fails, translations from previous batches remain on the page and you can save them.
