How to add previously uploaded media to a product

Link media already in the library to a product's media attribute without uploading it again.

To choose media, you must be able to edit the attribute, which means you must be able to see all its workspaces. You do not need permission to edit the media. The search only shows media from the attribute's workspaces. For an explanation, see ‘Workspaces’.

  1. Open the product and its media attribute.
  2. Click Add media.
  3. The window opens in search mode. If upload mode is active, click the magnifying glass icon.
  4. Set the filters you need: Title, Filename, Type and Uploaded by me. To limit the search to specific workspaces, use the chips.
  5. Click Search.
  6. Click Choose media in the rows of the media you want to add. If the attribute only accepts one media item, the last item you choose is kept.
  7. Click Confirm.
  8. Save the product by clicking SAVE.
