How to replace a media file or restore a previous version

Upload a new version of a media file, or revert to a previous version. Products, collections and workspaces remain linked to the media.

Replacing the file or restoring a previous version deletes the media's crops.

Replace the file

  1. Open the media details page.
  2. Click the Replace icon at the top right.
  3. On the Replace media page, drag the new file into the NEW MEDIA area.
  4. Describe the change in Notes.
  5. Click CONFIRM and confirm.

Restore a previous version

  1. Open the media details page and select the Revisions tab.
  2. In the row for the version, click the Restore revision icon.
  3. Enter the reason in Notes.
  4. Click Confirm and confirm.

Restoring creates a new version identical to the one you selected.
