Attribute configuration options

This page is for administrators: the operations described require access to the administration area.

You set these options on the attribute configuration page, which you open by selecting Configure in the Attributes list or Configuration in the attribute form. The attribute type appears at the top of the page. Types not listed here have no configuration options.

Text

TextGlobalValue, TextLocaleValue and TextCountryValue share the same options:

  • Is Multiline: allows you to enter text on multiple lines;
  • Filter search by: controls how the attribute works as a search filter. With Starts with, the value must start with the search text; with Contains, it only needs to contain it.

Formatted text

HtmlLocaleValue:

  • Select available tags: Any tag allows all HTML tags; Only selected tags allows only those selected in the tag lists for headings, text and list items. The div, span, br and p tags are always allowed;
  • Enable emoji, Enable color picker, Enable link, Enable format clear: the tools available in the editor;
  • Excel import options: how to handle HTML in text imported from Excel: Remove all HTML, Keep the text as-is or Keep only the allowed tags;
  • List classes: the CSS classes assigned to lists, in Bullet list class, Numbered list class and List element class.

Values from a list

SelectableOptionsGlobalValue:

  • Multi-choice: allows you to select multiple values;
  • Show key on description: displays the value's key next to its description;
  • Show as: Select or Autocomplete;
  • Values stored on: where values are stored. With Configuration, you enter them on this page using Add value, and you can deactivate individual values. With Reference Data, you select a reference data list in Please choose reference data to use as options;
  • Allow new values creation: appears only with Reference Data and Autocomplete, and allows you to add new values to the list.

SelectableOptionsLocaleValue: Is multi choice, Show key on description, Show as, and the list of values with descriptions by language. You can filter the list by language and translate it using Translate values.

ScopedOptionsLocaleValue: the list of values, each with a language, key and description.

ScopedOptionsCountryValue: Is single choice and the list of values, each with a key, description and country.

ScopedOptionsRefDataValue: the reference data list containing the values, the reference data list they are linked to, and Multi-choice.

StatusValue: the list of statuses, with a key, description and Show as override setting.

For types with a list of values on this page — SelectableOptionsGlobalValue, SelectableOptionsLocaleValue, ScopedOptionsLocaleValue and ScopedOptionsCountryValue — you can also import and export values in Excel, as described in How to configure an attribute.

Values from reference data

  • BooleanRefDataValue: the reference data list containing the values, in Please choose reference data to use as options;
  • NumericRefDataValue: the reference data list, in Reference data key.

Media

MediaLinkValue:

  • Accept multiple media: allows the attribute to contain multiple media items;
  • Show media in grid instead of table: displays media in a grid instead of a table;
  • Enable select locale: allows you to specify a language for each media item;
  • Use product attributes as media title;
  • Entity type: the entity type of accepted media;
  • Allowed providers and Media type: the accepted media sources and types;
  • Workspaces: the workspaces for accepted media, described on the Workspaces page in the Media space;
  • Include in product media download.

ReferenceEntityLinkValue:

  • Reference entity: the linked reference entity type. This is required;
  • Allow multiple values: allows you to link multiple reference entities;
  • Show as: Select or Table;
  • Hide SKU, Attribute to use as title, Main attributes and Filter attributes: what to display from the linked reference entity.

CategoryLinkValue: Accept multiple categories, Hide default, Add parent categories on edit.

SingleCategoryLinkValue: Select Family, which is required.

ProductLinkValue: Show Quantity, Enable Sorting and Entity types, the entity types of products you can link.

ProductVariantsValue: Enable Sorting.

Commercial and logistics data

PriceListValue: the reference data list in Reference data, Column name and the list of price lists, each with a price group name, country and currency.

InventoryValue: Main quantity label, the list of warehouses with codes, descriptions and countries, Other Quantities, Use state and Availability, Other Quantity Availability and the Availability and State table.

PercentageCountryValue: Limit max percentage, Max percentage and Enabled Countries.
