How to configure channel prices

This page is for administrators: the steps described require access to the administration area.

Choose which product prices apply to the channel and whether openlane should calculate the Omnibus price. You need access to Channels in the administration area. The pricing model is explained in Channel prices.

The price codes must already exist in the configuration of the product Prices attribute, with their group, countries and currency. See How to configure an attribute for configuration details.

Choose the main prices

  1. In the menu, select Admin, then Channels, and open the channel using the Edit icon.
  2. Click Set Retail Price. A window opens showing the price codes.
  3. Optionally, select a country in Country to show only that country's price groups.
  4. Select the code in the table and click Confirm.
  5. Repeat with Set MSRP Price and Set MAP Price if the channel uses these prices.
  6. Click Save.

The message Channel saved appears.

The window shows all price codes, regardless of type: for each price, choose a code of the correct type, with a country and currency supported by the channel. Once a code is set, you can replace it with another code, but you cannot remove it. The labels Set Retail Price and Set MSRP Price are used in the standard configuration and may differ in your installation.

Add other prices

  1. In Other Prices, select the codes for the other prices the channel receives. Each entry shows the group, type and code.
  2. Select Validate Other Prices if these prices must also be present for publication. This option only appears after you have selected at least one code.
  3. Click Save.

Price validation only applies if the Prices attribute has a validation rule with Required enabled for the channel type.

Calculate the Omnibus price

  1. Select Track Omnibus Price.
  2. Click Save.

From that point onwards, openlane records the selling price of products in production on the channel every day and saves the Omnibus price in the Prices attribute, with the price type OMNIBUS and a code matching the channel key.
